Assailants shot three!-- looted Rs 50 lac cash.
           Two motor cycle borne masked men on Friday noon shot  three persons at a private bank ATM in a broad day light robbery on a busy Lucknow road and fled with the cash box having Rs50 lac.
The employees were loading cash in the ATM around 12.20 P.m. of the HDFC bank at Babuganj locality in front of Lucknow University campus under Hasanganj police station.
Chief Minister, Akhilesh Yadav, directed DGP A.K. Jain to deal personally the investigating team and gave him 15 days to crack the case and to arrest the accused with cash recovery.
Akhilesh also announced an ex-Gratia of Rs. 5 lac each to the next kins of the three victims.
The DIG said the cash carrying van, a private vehicle, had loaded cash in three other ATMs before arriving at the one in Babuganj.
Employees, Anil Kumar Singh and Uday Singh, were inside the outlet for loading cash into the machine while security guards, Avneesh and Arun Kumar Shukla, were vigilant outside.
Two  masked gunmen arrived on a motorcycle and opened fire to shoot the armed guards, giving no chance to retaliate.
As the guards fell on the ground, duo entered inside the outlet and asked the two employees to hand over the box.
One of them, Anil, reportedly resisted, the assailant fired at him forcing Udai to back down.
The assailants fled with the cash box on their motorcycle . The two guards died on the spot,  and Anil died at the KGMU trauma center.

       Sadhvi Pragya Singh Thakur has challenged the slapping of the stringent Maharastra Control of Organized  Crimes Act (MCOCA) against her.
           Lt. Col Prasad Shrikant Purohit has claimed he was a millitary intelligence officer who had succeeded in infiltrating several militant Muslim organisation, including the Students Islamic Movement of India(SIMI).He has cotended that was falsely implicated in the case by the Maharatra Anti-Terrorism Sqad  for political reasons. Purohit has sought bail on the ground that no chargessheet had been filed against him by the NIA and hence any trial would take several years.
         Both have been in jail for more than six years now. The Maharastra government’s counsel has already concluded his arguements in the case, opposing the bail plea.
         It has been alleged by the prosecution that Sadhvi took part in a conspiracy which led to the attack at Malegaon in the year 2008. In the case of Purohit, It was stated that he had procured 60 kg RDX and supplied it to the other accused.
         The National Investigation Agency(NIA) has decided to oppose in the Supreme Court  the bail plea by the accused in 2008 Malegaon blasts case. The agency is also going to urge the court to grant NIA further police custody of all accused, including Purohit and Sadhvi.

           Communist Party of India (ML) red stars on Wednesday organized a Lal Salam rally in Lucknow.  The  comrades demonstrating on the road were chanting slogans... Lalkiley Par Lal Nishan... Lal Salam... Lal Salam (the red mark on Red fort... Red salute... red salute)! They were there to participate in the party's 10th congress.
          CPI(ML)'s general secretary, K N Ramchandran, told," Our comrades activating the traditional agitations have been working to order the trade unions, the farmers, the women, the youths and the students.  We have founded the agitation of caste abolition. There is a need of the unified left at the time to encourage the conflict for the public development policy."
        Mr.Chandran said that the other parties only were criticizing the communal agenda formulated by RSS-- they had not differed in new liberal economic policy.
