Minimize Stress and Promote Relaxation -- Practice Regular Yoga!

By on Friday, June 26, 2015
Yoga Helps To Boost Positive Emotions In Individuals

Yoga's breathing techniques can also help athletes, and while this may not directly prevent muscle damage or other forms of injury, it may boost performance. Athletes may also become more aware of their bodies while practicing yoga, gaining a better understanding of their body's limits or weak points.
Though the flexibility gained from yoga can help prevent certain sports injuries, yoga itself can cause certain injuries. Individuals who are interested in taking up a yoga practice, particularly those with existing injuries or health conditions, should first consult appropriate health care professionals to make sure they are not going to exacerbate their current condition or introduce new problems.
It is also important for beginners to attend the appropriate class for their experience level. As with any physical activity, it's always a good idea to listen to pain or other discomfort while practicing yoga.
yoga practitioners use different types of bolsters for different purposes. The most common types of yoga bolsters are rectangular and cylindrical bolsters. Rectangular bolsters are used in restorative yoga because their stable form allows for a deeper forward bend and a gentler chest opening. By contrast, cylindrical bolsters provide more support for forward bends and allow the chest to open deeper.
Yoga postures, known as Asanas, involve more than stretching, states the Yoga Journal. As one of the eight limbs of classical yoga, Asana practice is said to create a strong connection with one's true, essential nature. In Sanskrit, which is the ancient language of India, the word yoga translates as "yoke" or "union," and describes the integrated mind, body and spirit awareness of the yogic experience.

The primary benefit of prenatal yoga is to reduce stress and teach awareness of the body. Focusing on deep breathing exercises and meditation helps expectant mothers decompress. As FitPregnancy points out, prenatal yoga reduces the risk of prenatal depression, improves sleep and decreases back pain and nausea. Prenatal yoga has also been shown to reduce the risk of preterm labor and intrauterine growth restriction. Prenatal yoga classes can be used as a social outlet to meet and socialize with other expecting mothers.
It is recommended avoiding more intense yoga styles like Bikram which can cause hyperthermia, instead advising pregnant women to focus on yoga specifically designed for them. As always, it is important to stay cool and hydrated while exercising. Pregnant women should also avoid certain poses that put pressure on their abdomens, asking instructors to provide modifications of poses if necessary.

It explains that in addition to physical benefits, yoga practice also helps to boost positive emotions in individuals who practice regularly. An hour of yoga poses raises the levels of GABA, a chemical in the brain that is linked to depression when levels are low.
Regular yoga practice helps to minimize stress and promote relaxation. Yoga combines healthy stretching exercises with controlled breathing. It is designed to teach individuals that by controlling their breath, they can in turn control their bodies and release anxiety by quieting the mind. In addition to increasing immunity and promoting heart health, continued yoga practice may also help individuals who suffer from depression and sleep disorders.
it is important for individuals interested in taking up yoga consult with a physician if they have herniated disks, severe osteoporosis, blood clots, eye conditions or hypothyroidism.

Swaraj approached Keith Vaz on behalf of Modi

By on Wednesday, June 24, 2015
Remarks On Issue Were Misinterpreted: Arun Jaitley
Finance Minister Arun Jaitley on Tuesday said the authorities in India would continue to do their job with regard to the probe into the over Rs 11 crore transaction between Raje's son Dushyant Singh and Lalit Modi while asserting that his remarks on this issue were misinterpreted.
"I have never used such a word. That is never part of my domain," Jaitley told reporters when asked about opposition's allegations that his remarks that the loan given to Singh by Modi, the former IPL chief, was a commercial  transaction, amounted to giving clean chit to the BJP MP.

It is noteworthy, The BCCI disciplinary committee, comprising Arun Jaitley, and Jyotiraditya Scindia, had submitted a 134-page report in July 2013 in which it had found Lalit Modi guilty on eight charges, including financial irregularities, indiscipline and "actions detrimental to the interest of the BCCI."
More than two dozens cases of financial irregularities worth Rs 2148.3 crore, money laundering and criminal cases have been filed against Lalit Modi by various investigative agencies in the country.

The Raje episode, faced flak for allegedly backing the immigration plea of the former IPL chief in a London court secretly, came as a further embarrassment to the BJP and its government after it emerged that Swaraj helped Modi obtain British travel documents.

A British media expose wherein local MP Keith Vaz has been charged with a visa fraud. For using influence to get travel papers for the state-less Lalit Modi whose passport was impounded by India in 2010 for alleged cricket fraud.Vaz in his defence said he had been approached by Indian Minister Swaraj on behalf of Modi. Unable to deny this assertion, the Minister rushed to tweet her responses:

“Sometime in July 2014, Lalit Modi spoke to me that his wife was suffering from Cancer and her surgery was fixed for 4th August in Portugal. He told me that he had to be present in the hospital to sign the consent papers.”

Only few days later, Delhi High Court quashed the UPA Government’s order impounding Lalit Modi’s Passport on the ground that the said order was unconstitutional being violative of fundamental rights and he got his Passport back.”

"On the face of it, there is nothing collusion with matters pertaining to corruption," The union law minister said on Sunday.

"We should act on humanitarian grounds. One person who is affected by cancer (Modi's wife) and she is on death bed and needed some help," Mr Gowda said while asserting that the External Affairs Minister had not done anything wrong.

"But nowhere, Sushma Swaraj spoke about illegal transaction or any other--only some travel document, for a specific purpose. No transaction or business that come anyway near corruption," he added.

Taking a dig at Congress and other Opposition parties for slamming BJP-NDA on the issue, the Law Minister said Congress had no locus-standi to take up the issue "as it does not come under corruption. They are attacking the government as they did not get any other issue," he added.

The Congress said, the government's failure to appeal against the court ruling was incompetence.

"The government is a collective. MEA should have filed an appeal in consultation with the finance and home ministries," said Congress spokesperson Anand Sharma.

A former government lawyer agrees that the foreign ministry should have moved Supreme Court, not the Enforcement Directorate.

"The Enforcement Directorate is an affected party and can also appeal but legally MEA is the right authority to appeal," said Jatan Singh. The lawyer said an appeal can still be filed though the order is almost a year old.

The paper trail shows that Raje's son Dushyant got nearly Rs 11 crore for a company that exists just on paper; the paper trail indicates that slush funds were being laundered. Lalit Modi has confessed that Raje supported his application for immigration to the UK and then tried to keep it a secret from the Indian authorities.

Amid all this a lawyer has filed a PIL against Lalit Modi and Vasundhara Raje's son Dushyant, who reportedly floated a company called Niyant Heritage Hotels Pvt Ltd during Raje's first tenure as Rajasthan Chief Minister. According to Poonam Chand Bhandari, who filed the PIL, Lalit Modi's Anand Heritage Hotels gave unsecured loans worth Rs 3.80 crore to Dushyant's company.

Protesters after arrest with Jawad
Lucknow  Supporters of Sia cleric Mulana Kalbe Jawad on Wednesday night announced that they will not hold any massive protest in the holy month of Ramzan, but will not celebrate Eid  if their demand to remove the chairperson of Sia Central Waqf Board, UP, is not met by then. This means that the historic-era Chhota  and Bara Imambaras in the city will continue to be out of bounds for tourists as Jawad supporters have put locks on them and have sat on a dharna outside. The decision to continue the agitation and keep Imambaras locked was taken unanimously by 80 Anjumans ( religious groups) at a meeting presided over by Jawad.
The peacefull demonstration outside Bara Imambaras by men and the  outside Chhota Imambara by women will continue.  Imambaras have been locked for the past 13 days, leading to huge financial loss and monumental disappointment for tourists. Earlier, hundreds of women under banner of Muslim Mahila Jagrook Manch marched from Chhota Imambara in an attempt to protest outside the CM's residence. They were stopped by police at Hussainabad clock tower where they presented a memorandum to the administration. They warned of protest at the CM's residence on Thursday if their demands not met.
