President cites Chaitanya to talk about tolerance in India

Pranab Mukherjee, President, on Wednesday in Mathura UP (a holly place of Hindu belief) said,  "if the society embrace the messages of Chaitanya Mahaprabhu, there can be an environment of tolerance and pluralism."
Mukherjee, elaborating the contribution of Mahaprabhu in the organized Chaitanya Mahaprabhu Panchsati festival, said, “Unity, Integrity, Love and Humanity were the chief reason of his life and the purpose of his life makes strong unity in diversity."

He said, “When the country was going under the odd situation and the atmosphere was hostile, Mahaprabhu Chaitanya established unity in diversity talking the love." The stabilized unity has the need of atmosphere of tolerance and pluralism. This personality of Maha Prabhu is a precedent in the world.
Ram Naik, the governor of Uttar Pradesh ; Chief Minister, Akhilesh Yadav; MP Mathura, Hema Malini --- they all welcomed on his arrival.
Naik said on the occasion, “Many people look leprosy victims with detestation while Chaitanya Mahaprabhu had served leprosy patient 500 years before. He campaigned such the Vaishnava religion with love language that the animal and birds got the bliss.”
MP Hema Malini called society to follow the path of Chaitanya Mahaprabhu.
Chaitanya Maha Prabhu was one of the renowned poets and campaigner of Bhakti yog of Vaishnav religion during Bhaktikal. He founded the Gaudiya community of Vaishnav religion, and had emerged a new genre of Bhajan song and had maintained the unity between Hindu and Muslims during the non-stability.
