4 INDIAN NUNS AMONG 16 KILLED IN TERROR ATTACK


4 Indian nuns among 16 people were killed in a terrorist attack in Yemen on Friday. When the 4 gun-toting, targeting care homes, stormed and opened indiscriminate firing, the incident took place. It is presumed that the attack was organized by either al-Qaida or Islamic State.
According to AFP, 4 gun toting assailants reached outside the care home in Aden and they targeted an old man and started indiscriminate firing. Present 4 Indian nuns and others were the victim of bullets at the time of attack.
The attack created the panic hurry in the area. The 4 Indian nuns, working in the care home, and 12 other were killed in gunfire on the spot. The vehicles parked outside were badly damaged.
The care home is situated in the main south city of Aden in Yemen. The security officers told that 4 gun-toting had attacked on care home situated in Sheikh Othman of Aden. A security guard was also killed. The assailants opened fire randomly on residents.The four Indian nuns, six Ethiopians, a Yemeni cook and Yemeni guards were among the dead.
The officers told the news agency that the attackers were terrorists who might have the men of Islamic State or Al-qaeda. These terrorist organizations had orchestrated such incidents in the past months.
The foreign ministry in India is not able to confirm any information about this incident. There is no embassy in Yemen. Even the Indian mission to Djibouti was lifted.
The Indian government official of external affairs ministry spokesperson Vikas Swarup said the ministry was trying to ascertain reports about the Indian nuns being gunned down. He said, “We have seen the reports and are trying to ascertain the details.”
 An organization by Missionary of Charity, founded by Mother Teresa, that accommodates 80 residents in the retirement home.
Aden descended into lawlessness after a Saudi-led coalition recaptured the city from Shia Houthi rebels last summer.
