Puttingal Temple Kerala caught fire; 108 pilgrims killed, many injured

108 people killed in the fire cracker accident in Puttingal temple Kerala this Saturday night during Navratri festival. The local police confirmed the figure of deceased person. More than 350 people are feared to be injured. 
The air force has started rescue operation. Mi 17 including four air force helicopters are being used to help the people.
A burn specialist team with PM Modi left for the spot. The BJP president Amit Shah has cancelled the election rally to be held on Sunday. 
The vice president of congress, Rahul Gandhi left for Kerala to knowing the condition of pilgrims.
The accident took place at Puttingal temple at Paravur in kollam district Kerala. When the fire caught, it was a firecrackers view going on.
The injured were rushed to hospital. A case has been registered against the temple administration. 
 "A team of NDRF has been sent to Kollam '', told OP Singh Director General NDRF. The President, Pranab Mukherjee, expressed his grief on the death of people by the  fire accident in Kerala Temple. 
President expressed in his tweet, "My heartfelt condolences for the people who died in the fire at Kerala Temple. I appeals with the State Government and other agencies to provide the help to the families; treatment to the victims, who suffered the unfortunate mishap.''
The firecrackers show was launched at 11.45 late night and was continued till 4:00AM morning. According to information, the fire caught at 3:30 am in Pandal of temple (covered CANVAS). 
Nobody till late was able to understand the fire caught.  The people were beholding it as smoke of fire crackers and so the fire turned to intense. Devaswom Board building has been ruined in this accident
Oommen Chandy, the Chief Minister of Kerala, has ordered to a judicial probe in this accident after reaching the accident spot.
He said to Chief Secretary of State to take the permission by the election commission of giving ex-gratia to the victims of fire. When the election code of conduct has been imposed, the Government of State without taking the permission by the election commission cannot declare the ex-gratia to the victims.
The Home Minister of state Ramesh Chennithala has reached the spot. The State Health Minister VS Shiv Kumar has also declared emergency and all the necessary provision in Trivandrum medical College and Kollam General Hospital.
It is noticeable; the firecrackers show is a general activity in Puttingal Devi Temple. Especially on the occasion of New Year it is formal. The Malayalam New Year is going to start on April 14; the fire crackers show was being celebrated.
