By on Sunday, October 16, 2016

The temporary teachers and non-teaching staff under the banner of Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalaya Struggle Front are staging their hunger strike continue on 21th day on Saturday at Laxman Mela Maidan Lucknow.
Mr Desh Deepak Dubey, provincial president, has said, "We are continuous on hunger strike here since September 26, but the government didn't consider about our demands."
he added, "746 Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalaya are in existence in Uttar Pradesh where the working teachers and other staff are on temporary base, but the government has slashed the honorarium instead of regularizing on post."
He told, “The norms of honorarium payment are discriminatory on the basis of language and creed."

Rs 5000/- for Hindi or other subject teaching and Rs 12000/- for Urdu differ the wages while both are indigenous languages which caused resentment among the teachers.
The government didn’t pay attention to regularize the teaching and non-teaching temporary staff since last 12 years while Shikshamitra, Tadarth Shikshak, Ashram Vidyalaya Shikshak—all were regularized
