EC cancels by election; situation in Anantnag is not in favour

Election commission has cancelled parliamentary byelection in Kashmir and has said that the situation in Anantnag is not in favour to hold it there.

Umar Abdullah, former chief minister of Kashmir, said the election cancelation is disappointing.
Mehbooba Mufti had resigned from parliamentary constituency Anantnag last year.
