District Bareilly ASP bans journalists' entry into police stations

By on Thursday, March 22, 2018

Dr Chnadra Mohan, spokesperson to BJP, recently in statement, had said, “He added that the police have been made friendly accountable with the citizens; while the police have been freed for sternly urging on criminals. The consequence is that the police are now able to maintain a confidence among the public and the criminals are in fear.”
Which agency will decide the government’s intention is pious in the public interest; mere the media have been working for all the investigative information, which the public could be able to know, but here the journalists’ entry in the police stations has been banned through an office order issued by ASP Bareilly. He has issued and circulated an office order for this purpose. The local journalists are in resentment after this ban.
Mr PremPrakash, ADG zone, has reacted and said, “There should not be ban on the journalist’s entry in the police stations. The press freedom is our priority."
ASP Ashok Kumar Meena hails from district Tonk Rajsthan and graduated in marine engineering.
ASP Ashok Meena posted on CO-II in district Bareilly, has the charge of three police stations; namely, Qila, Subhash Nagar and CB Ganj. He has directed his subordinates to urge on journalists tightly.
The station officers of the police stations have been directed to set up enquiry against the journalists and then take action against them. He has also directed to the station officers to let the journalists be not allowed the entry into police stations. Mere one time entry per day has been allowed in the police stations.
Not evenso, he has directed that the journalists who are not complying with the order should be added in a lists to contemplate the stern actions against them… here the apprehension among the journalists are what is going on so which caused to issue such order. ASP Ashok Meena has not clarified in the order.
