The
thousands of peasants of Western Uttar Pradesh have moved towards Delhi for
their demands. The police forces have stopped them at the UP-Delhi border,
which created a big congestion among the traffic situation. They all are hell-bent
to reach upto the former prime minister, Chaudhari Charan Singh’s cementri
Kisanghat at Delhi.
They have 15 demands – namely, the loan waiving, the
sugarcane payment within 14 days, the slash in electric tariff rate and their
babes must be educated free of cost upto class 8th. The farmers are demanding
high-court bench in western UP and are demanding to be implemented the recommendation
of Swaminathan’s committee reports.
Meanwhile the government of Uttar Pradesh has
ordered to the sugar mills to pay all the outstanding dues to the farmers till
31st October. Mr Suresh Rana has informed the decision of UP government that
