At least 89 people dead and 100 were injured when a gas cylinder ripped on Saturday morning at Jhabua district of Madhya Pradesh. The accident
allegedly took place by the blast of a gas cylinder in Petlawad town restaurant
60 kilometer away from district headquarter.
Many
buildings adjacent and near the restaurant were damaged by the intense
explosion. AR Khan Police SDOP, told here, ‘Many people are inside the debris;
the exact position of injured people can be confirmed after removing it.' Senior
government officials from district headquarter Jhabua have left for the
accident spot to provide relief to the victims.
Giving information about the
accident Babulal Gaur, State Home Sinister, said, ‘The death toll may rise; the
accident is to be probed.’
SDOP
AR Khan told, ‘A blast early morning 8.30 am in the restaurant situated of a
building took place. Many people have injured in the accident.’ He added, “The
explosion in the restaurant is probably happened by the gas cylinder
blast."
Chief
Minister, Shivraj Singh, declared ex-gratia Rs 2 lacs to the next kin of
deceased and Rs.50 thousand to the injured.
