Tamilnadu badly affected by heavy rain
Tamilnadu,
a South Indian state, is badly affected by heavy rain in various areas. The
daily life has been disrupted; and the North-East monsoon rain is continuing.
The rain water logging in the city of Chennai and its adjoining area has caused
55 deaths.

the flowing rainwater is on the
roads at Poonamallee and Anna Salai . The movement of vehicles is fully
blocked. The rainwater has barged into The Fort Sent George, the Chennai
Railway Station, the office of police commissioner and Kilpauk Jolley and the
downtown areas. The vehicles are creeping on the road.
the rain fall may continue next 24
hours according to the weather department. The school and colleges of 7
districts have been closed. The scheduled examinations have been canceled till restoration.
The water level in reservoirs is
rising at many places.
The death toll rises to 55. The
chief minister, Jaylalita, expressing her grief over the calamity and deaths,
declared the compensation Rs 4 lakh to every next kin of deceased.
