Muslim Community hosted feast Programme for Girls On Ram Navami In Kanpur

Kanpur became the first district where Muslim community by the guiding thought of Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, on Friday has put an example of secularism. The community was encouraged very much by the slogan of PM Modi: ‘Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao’. They held a ‘Kanya Bhoj’(girls feast) programme on the occasion of Ramnavami. The meals well fed more than 50 girls hosted by these Muslims in front of the Durga temple. The crowd of devotees was present at the temple.
Actually two Navratri (nine days fast by Hindu community to please nine Goddess) -- first, in the month of April, every year in remembrance of birth anniversary of Lord Ram; and another, in the month of October during Dussehra when lord Rama returned Ayodhya  are celebrated; consequently Hindus host (baby) girls’ feast in which they feed these girls different tasty recipes after many rituals.
The Muslim community has said during this held programme that it is encouraged by the thought of PM Modi: ‘Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao’.
The community has solemn vowed to promote the girls by the project of Prime Minister. The girls whether they are from any religions should be promoted is our duty.

The programme ‘Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao’ is joint initiatives of women and child development ministry, family welfare ministry and HRD ministry. The project was launched in 100 lowest gender ratio districts on 22 January 2015.
