8 years after British teen's death in Goa, courts acquits accused

2 accused in connection with the murder of a British girl, Scarlett, 15, have been acquitted. The juvenile court Goa (India) on Friday has announced this decision in the 8 years old trial. Fiona Mcqueen, Scarlet’s mother was present in the juvenile court room when the justice came.
Two locals were charged with the murder of this juvenile girl in the case. The charges were framed on Samson D'souza and Placido Carvalho that they had fed her narcotics drug; and then she was raped. The accused threw Scarlett’s body at Anjuna beach after the rape and fled from the spot.
Fiyona Marquin said, “She has faith in court”, and she appreciated investigating agency CBI.
The teenage Scarlett’s body was found in half naked condition at Anjuna beach of Goa on 19th February 2008. Her family was on trip to Goa. The police had revealed prima facie her death caused by drowning.

Scarlett’s mother, expressing suspicion of murder, demanded second postmortem. The second report exposed the rape, then murdered. The report revealed that the girl was fed the narcotics drug and murdered after the rape
