Eight suspected SIMI men killed after escaping from Bhopal jail

Eight men had fled from the central jail Bhopal after killing head constable were gunned down near Itkhedi, an outskirt area of the city.

 After getting the information the police besieged the area and gunned down the 8 SIMI terrorists in an encounter.

 The killed people were identified as Sheikh Mujib, Khalid, Aqil, Zakir, Mehboob, Amzad and Salikh.

 Mr Rashad-ud-din Owaisi, MP Hydrabad, has said,"How the escaped person from central jail of Bhopal may well clad if they were in jail? Some solid metallicthing cannot be like a weapon. The incident is astounding."

 Eight men escaped on Sunday from central jail Bhopal were killed outskirt of the city, but after the video footage release of encounter has surfaced some foul play in the incident. The men were blank hand.

 Mr Bhupendra Singh, the state home minister, said, “There were no other options except to shoot them. The police have the preference to catch either live or dead these wanted hardcore terror men. The police force followed through its job when they were assigned?"

Maoist Leader Cobad Gandhi Acquitted in Seditious Speech Case

Cobad Gandhi, a Maoist leader, has been acquitted on Wednesday by a Punjab Patiyala court  in a case registered against him for anti national speech in Punjab university campus 6 years ago. The judgment came after continued trial in the session court since last month. Justice Mohd Guljar announced the judgment.

Such 15 anti national cases had been registered against Cobad Gandhi. After this acquittal Mr Cobad Gandhi,66, has said to the reporters that he has himself separated from the banned organization of CPI.

According to the police, Cobad Gandhi was involved to establish a network of the banned CPI(Maoist) in Delhi. He was arrested in this connection on 20 September 2009. He was being treated of his cancer ailment.

The police said: he  had been living for boosting the CPI(Maoist) activities in Delhi; and his accomplice, Mr Rajendra Kumar, helped him. Mr Rajendra Kumar was arrested on 19 March 2010. 

The case under police station Patiyala had been registered against him under unlawful activity amendment act 2008 rule 10,13,18,20 and IPC section 419 and 120 B on 23 January 2010. The police claimed that Cobad Gandhi had delivered seditious speech at Punjabi University in year 2009.

Amity Education Group Acquires 170-acre Campus in New York

         

Amity has acquired a 170-acre waterfront campus from St. John's University located in Oakdale, Long Island, New York. The property consists of 11 buildings with views of the Great South Bay. 

     At the centre of the campus is the Georgian-style Bourne Mansion, built in 1897, which was the waterfront estate of Frederick Bourne, president of Singer Sewing Machine Co.

     St. John’s University sold its 170-acre waterfront campus in Oakdale to the private, nonprofit international education group for $22.5 million announced last month.

     Amity Education Group, which operates Amity University, one of the largest multi-campus colleges in India, purchased the property and has assumed control of the land.

     According to Dr Aseem Chauhan, Chancellor, Amity, "The Amity New York campus will be a platform for research collaboration, faculty and student exchange programs as well as innovation and entrepreneurship development between institutions in the US and India. The campuses will act as a bridge allowing people and organizations to connect and communicate between the US, India and other countries. This includes the large Indian diasporas, which is keen to further its bonds with India."

Aggrieved Teachers Staged Dharna

 

Many primary teachers under UP Anusuchit Jati Prathmik Shikshak Mahasabha Morcha protested against for not releasing of recurring grant list by the state government at Laxman Mela Maidan this week. They demonstrated by brooms sweeping to attract the state government's attention.

Mr Vijay Pratap said, “We are demanding the cancellation of government office memorandum issued on 5^th October 2006, and want the restoration of policy implemented in the year1994. We also want to enlist the private schedule caste schools in the periodical grant list.”

It is our second phase of struggle. We had staged 50 days Dharna earlier and ended after assurance by the chief minister.

He added, “We have begun our indefinite Dharna since 4^th October with resolution of Do or Die.”

The matter is that the government had set up the committees in the chairmanship of District Collector at every district of Uttar Pradesh to search the 1627 schools in the state and refer their reports to the government.

The report about the location of schools was sent. The 18000 teachers are working in these schools, but the grant not being allocated paused salary payment to the teachers. The teachers are on the verge of starvation.

Mulayam slipshod; Akhilesh chief ministerial face again

After the statement of next CM candidate of Samajwadi Party that the legislature of assembly will decide -- the party has announced in a Press Conference on Monday that Akhilesh is the candidate of CM in UP assembly election 2017.

The conciliatory meeting held at SP Chief residence where Shivpal, Akhilesh including Mulayam were present.

It is said that Mulayam Sandesh Yatra starts from November 9 was discussed in the meeting for an hour. However the rift between CM Akhilesh and Shivpal was pacified here, according to source.

MGNREGA PERSONNEL STAGE INDEFINITE DHARNA

MNREGA personnel under UP MNREGA Karmik Kalyan Sangathan are staging indefinite Dharna for their demands at Laxman Mela Maidan Lucknow on Monday. 

They have been demanding to upgrade the honorarium and to reform the service rule, but their demands have yet to be decide.

Additional Program Officer, Rs 20000; Computer Operator, Rs 8000; Assistant Accountant, Rs 8000; and Technical Assistant, Rs 8000 -- all of the posts are being paid honorarium since 2008 respectively.

Mr Atul Rai, the coordinator, said, " The labourer were being paid Rs 58 per diem in the beginning and they are paid now Rs 174 daily which is 200% hike; but the honorarium to these posts has not yet enhanced."

"The workers are grudgingly facing the difficult situation of dearness", Mr Udai Raj Sharma said.
