Iris Mittenaere of France is Miss Universe 2016

Iris Mittenaere of France, 23, has been chosen Miss Universe in a spectacular event in Philippines. The competition held among 86 countries beauty queens.

It was 65th competition of miss universe; and Iris was being understood strong candidate for this competition since beginning. She had made everyone fan for her beauty, confidence and understanding. Irish is dental student and cooking is her hobby.

Iris hails from a small city of north France; answered of a question of final round that she would feel pride on being won this crown very much; but, when she was announced the winner, she was very astounded on hearing her name.

Raquel Pelissier,25, was the first runner-up in this contestant. Raquel’s home had been ruined in earthquake in year 2010. Andrea Tovar, 23, miss Columbia, was second runner-up contestant.

13 contestants from Kenia, Mexico, Indonesia, Peru, Panama, Colombia, Philippines, Canada, Brazil, Haiti, Thailand and USA had reached in the final list.

The former miss universe, Sushmita Sen was in the pageant as judge. Rasmita Harimurti performance disappointed there. Kiran Jassal, Indian origin Sikh girl, presented Malaysia.

The miss universe award was given to Philippines’ Alonzo Wurtzbach last year in Las Vegas.

Leaving bicycle symbol -- Akhilesh Yadav waving hand!

Akhilesh Yadav and Rahul Gandhi are wandering on the street during the Assembly Election campaign. Yes, Congress and Samajwadi Party alliance have taken its practical shape and the campaign is together going on. Both the leaders were on the street of Lucknow on Sunday afternoon. Many people, unknown with road-map of their passage, were waiting his arrival on other roads.

Buntline city reporter tracked the Rath of Samajwadi party. The state chief minister with congress vice president stand on the roof of bus which passes in the dense crowdie road; many people who were the passerby were facing difficulty, but much of the residents were waving hands seeing the both young leaders together.

The excited crowds were trying to take their selfie. The congress workers and the Samajwadi Party workers were marching along with the bus; the bus runs in slow motion via Kaisherbagh to Chowk; the rickshaw pullers and auto were stopped along either side.

The surged crowds were mostly of the local residents who were excited to look both the leaders. The leaders were also smiling and Akhilesh Yadav was waving his hand towards the public.

The former chief of Samajwadi Party, Mulayam Singh Yadav, is annoyed with the congress alliance and has forbidden to go on campaign in the forth coming election.
He said, “ I am against this agreement and will nowhere go for the alliance campaign. He added that the SP was itself able to win the assembly election and there was no need of this alliance. Our leaders whose tickets have not been given -- what will he do now? He lost the chance for next 5 years.
After the alliance had taken its practical shape, both the young leaders came before the media. Both the leaders were engaged on the one hand with the media; Mulayam Singh left Lucknow for Delhi on the other.

All India Payam-e-Insaniyat Forum has organized blood donation camp at Balrampur district hospitalLucknow on Tuesday afternoon this week. The students of Nadwa Ulema were assembled there to co-operate the camp of blood donation in the presence of chief medical superintendent, Dr.Rajiv Lochan. More than 50 students gave their blood for the noble cause.

Dr Riyaz Ahmad, the manager of this NGO, said, “All India-e-Insaniyat forum is non-political and nonreligious organization; only it works for society. Association of Masters in Public Administration Lucknow University held a programme on January 23rd this week in collaboration with the department of public administration at campus Auditorium.

Samajwadi Party has issued 3rd list of candidature on Monday. Aparna Yadav, younger daughter-in-law of former SP Supremo, has been declared candidate from Lucknow Cantt 175-Assembly Constituency.

It is noticeable, the seat had been bagged by congress in last term, and Rita Bahuguna Joshi was the congress MLA from this constituency. Now she is in fray from this constituency on BJP ticket.
Aparna Yadav and Rita Bahuguna Joshi both hails from Uttarakhand origin.

Mr Naresh Uttam, the state president of Samajwadi Party, announced it in a press conference this afternoon.

The congress after the alliance with Samajwadi Party is in fray for 298 assembly seats.

Samajwadi Party has revised its 30 candidates’ name after the alliance with congress. A few candidates’ constituency has been altered. Meera Bano is in fray from Lakheem Pur Kheri.

After the alliance between Samajwadi Party and congress, Mr Rajendra Chaudhary announced the candidates name for the remaining seats. He said that the Congress and Samajwadi Party, both will fight together in Parliamentary Election-2019.

SERENA AND NADAL INTO LAST EIGHT: AUSTRALIAN OPEN

Rafael Nadal struggled into his first Grand Slam quarter-final since 2015 at the Australian Open on Monday, as Serena Williams accelerated towards a record title and the number one ranking. Nadal, searching for a revival after injuries wrecked last season, was tested by France's Gael Monfils before winning 6-3, 6-3, 4-6, 6-4 to book a last-eight clash with Milos Raonic. Nadal, 30, was also pushed to five sets by Alexander Zverev, 19, in round three, but he has survived to reach his first major quarter-final since the 2015 French Open.

The Spanish world number nine now has an excellent chance to add to his 14 Grand Slam titles after world number one Andy Murray and title-holder Novak Djokovic were both knocked out.

"I'm very happy being in the quarter-finals of a Grand Slam after a couple of years without being there," he said. "It's very special for me, especially here in Australia where I feel (it's) a little bit like home."

A day after defending women's champion and top seed Angelique Kerber also fell by the wayside, Williams beat Barbora Strycova 7-5, 6-4 to set up a last-eight meeting with Johanna Konta.

The American great would gain much from winning in Melbourne, as she would overtake Steffi Graf's Open-era record of 22 Grand Slam titles and end Kerber's short reign as world number one.

In hot afternoon conditions, she fought off the Czech Republic's Strycova in two tight sets, following her sister Venus into the quarter-finals without dropping a set.

For over 7 hours on January 21, Anjul Bajpai sat outside the DAV college Lucknow room, dressed in his Kathak costume, his face caked with no makeup, waiting for his turn on stage.

His event was scheduled for 3 on Saturday afternoon this week; when his name was finally called out; it was 6 at evening.

 After his Kathak performance, he had to sprint down the steps of the stage. Anjul at these hours was with his companion friends; namely, Sidharth Rai, Satabdi Garima, Praveen, Ayush, Niharika Pandey, Rina.

Anjul Bajpai is the dance teacher at Tansen Sangeet Mahavidyalay Lucknow. When the results were out, Anjul had bagged first position in his event.

Archana Tiwari is his teacher and the sequence of steps and movements in dance looks kathak that hails from Lucknow Gharana. The lyric of the song was Sufi genre is as follows:

 The students participate in this function every year. The competition was held this year, and the awards were felicitated to the winners. Actually the judges of the events are invited to sideline the error makers.

US FROM OBAMA TO TRUMP NOW

Donald John Trump,70, is 45^th US president. He administered the oath after the vice president Mike Richard Pence had taken the oath in swearing in ceremony at capitol Washington DC on Friday this week.

Trump in his maiden speech, after taking his office, said: thank you to the people of world. We are assembling here with a big national effort today. We have unity for the people. We resolute that we will be unite forever. We will face the hardships; despite it we will get the success in our work. We want there to be peace. We are grateful to president Obama and first lady Michele who are present here. They have been magnificent. Today’s ceremony is important. This is not the transfer of power from one administration to another, but we are giving the control of power in the hands of you, the people. Those who are in struggle – what can we do for them? We all know that the government is yours; the power is for the government.

The year 2017 will be memorable that the people of this country are going to control the power again. Those men and women who were forgotten – they will be missed now. You all in million assembled here on this historic day. In this campaign is to be seen that the country is always stand forever and America is great. The people want to live protected; they should be given their rights. The children and women’ condition should be better. We have to prevent the drugs which have affected the younger; Now today, we have to stop it. The crime and the gangs and the drugs that have stolen too many lives and robbed our country of so much unrealised potential.

We are one country and their sorrow is ours; their dreams are ours; their success is ours. That we have sworn today will go ahead to our target with unity. 200 protesters were demonstrating in Lago Circle at Washington DC. Many of them were in black suit and had covered with mask. The opposition law makers boycotted the oath ceremony. 60 of the Democratic Party senators were not present in this ceremony. American Media and Trump

The journalists in America will have to decide self  their rules and the American press corps have said clearly before president's oath that Trump cannot decree over them.

Kylie Pope, Editor-in- Chief and publishers of Columbia Journalism Review (CJR), said in an open letter to Trump that it would be fruitful to clear: how do we look the relation between your administration and American press core? He added that the relation between the media and the elected president are tense.

13 CHILDREN BOARDED ON BUS KILLED IN ACCIDENT

The men may afraid of seeing the glimpse of sorrow at the spot where a school bus collided face to face with a truck Thursday morning at Etah district of Uttar Pradesh.

Every person whose babes were boarded on bus are weeping bitterly and not accepting the death message of their loving innocents.

The district magistrate of Etah, Mr Mohan Singh, has already announced seeing cold wave in Uttar Pradesh to close the schools till January 20.

He said, " The school was opened in spite of being ordered to close till 20th January. It is violation of local administration. The action will be taken against the school management." 

The dense fog had covered over the road and around adjoining areas; the drivers were running vehicles slow.

According to report, 13 children of 50 including the driver died in this accident on the spot. The bus of JS PUBLIC School was running on Aliganj road of Etah district.

PM Modi has expressed his grief over this fatal accident.

White house said, “President Obama, remembering his trip to India as a chief guest on the occasion of republic day in 2015, greeted the coming 68^th republic day cordially to Modi.

 That the both leaders discussed on this point is how they have moved on the priorities of economic and defence partnership; and India is recognized as a big partner of America on defence partnership now. Both the countries worked for the global climate change in the same way.”

Health Mela-2017 organised at KGMU campus

The health fair to aware the public about the different health complications was organized by King George Medical University on Saturday in Lucknow at Sardar Patel ground in front Gautambudha park

The brief history of medical college and later it became King George’s medical university is as follows.

The Lucknow University Act, No. V of 1920, received the assent of the Lieutenant-Governor on November 1, and of the Governor-General on November 25, 1920.

The University undertook teaching -- both formal and informal. Teaching in the Faculties of Arts, Science, Commerce, and Law was being done in the Canning College and teaching in the Faculty of Medicine in the King George's Medical College and Hospital. The Canning College was handed over to the University on July 1, 1922, although previous to this date the buildings, equipment, staff, etc., belonging to the Canning College had been ungrudgingly placed at the disposal of the University for the purposes of teaching and residence. The King George's Medical College and the King George's Hospital were transferred by the Government to the University on the March 1, 1921.

The following three Colleges provided the nucleus for the establishment of the University:

·         The King George's Medical College. (Now Known as King George's Medical University)

·         The Canning College.

·         The Isabella Thoburn College.

This was a rich inheritance for the new-born University in 1920

Dr SB Cameron with Prof Kali Prasad came in Lucknow from Allahabad University. Professor Cameron was the VC of Lucknow university during 1926-1930 and Kali Prasad had been VC during 1960-61.

W Selby (1911) was the first principal of King George's Medical College.

The success of this great project of medical education and relief was already assured when the foundation stone was laid by His Royal Highness the Prince of Wales in 1906 and during his second visit for the Coronation Durbar as King Emperor, His Majesty was pleased to give his consent and to designate the College by his name.

A change took place in the control of the Medical College and Hospital in 1921 when these institutions were transferred to the new Lucknow University and ceased to be directly under the Government of the United Provinces. Hither-to the College had been affiliated to the Allahabad University. For the first time in 1922 the degrees granted to the successful students was the M.B.B.S. Lucknow instead of the M.B.B.S. Allahabad, as hitherto.

Anaesthesiology, Pathology, Anatomy, Pediatrics, Biochemistry, Pediatric Surgery, Cardiology, Pharmacology, Clinical Hematology, Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation, Community Medicine, Physiology, Dermatology, Venereology & Leprosy, Plastic Surgery, Forensic Medicine, Psychiatry, Geriatric Mental Health, Pulmonary Medicine, Hospital Administration, Radiodiagnosis, Medicine, Radiotherapy, Microbiology, Rheumatology, Neurology, Surgery, Neuro Surgery, Surgical Gastroenterology, Obstetrics & Gynecology, Surgical Oncology, Ophthalmology, Thoracic & Cardio-vascular Surgery, Orthopedic Surgery, Transfusion Medicine, Otorhinolaryngology, Urology

36 departments are in the university, which have motto sincerity-service-sacrifice.

Prof.Ravi Kant is the present vice chancellor of King George Medical University.

In his sincere effort, the faculties are engage in public service. Thousands of patients reach daily to its outdoor services in the new building. The emergency cases for the treatment are handled at trauma centre-1. The doctors deal the cases sincerely and refer it to the general wards where the patients are cured from the chronic diseases daily.

I assigned the task to my sub editor who is suffering some skin problem in his groin under testicles and Axilla to cross check the provisions in the fair. Mr Bhatt visited the place. More than 40 stall of different faculties were present there. 

Many experts were addressing the people and the guests who were the participants in this ceremony. The chief noticeable point in this fair ceremony was that the Doctors were speaking in pure Hindi in colloquial language to aware the people who were present at the hours.

The doctors at kiosk were also talking with the patients in Hindi. Professor Ravikant, VC, was at the midfield where some junior doctors staged a play to communicate awareness in the society.

Health Mela-17 is an effort to provide the services of all 36-medical faculties one day at one place.

Mr Bhatt went to take consultation at medicine stall where Dr Touheed and Dr Satish were present; Satish gave his prescription and 3 available medicines of the 5 were provided free of cost and remaining 2  were bought in the market.

Mela was organized for the public purpose. The different stalls where the concerning faculties’ Doctors were present and the services at the camp was continue.

A crowd was being preached by the expert doctors there in pure Hindi (OUDHI) which can be understood by the patients and their kin.

Professor Ravikant is also spiritually strong and has faith in the rhymes of Hindu mythology. He has the awareness to provide the health services to the needy persons, which is more important in the manner when the persons face different illness and cannot afford the expenses of treatment.

Professor has made himself in the access of needy men. He has also deep watch in the society where he has to perform his duty.

He visited orphanage (Balsadan) at Lucknow where a program of religious sacrifice was held by Seva Bharti Organisation, which he performed and put the incense burner into the pious fire.

. A feast of Bati Chokha and Khitchdi was hosted by organisation.  Professor Ravikant and Justice Rastogi Allahabad High Court sat with the others and have taken the lunch together in this ceremony on the occasion of Makarsankranti, the day is celebrated as a first day of new year in Hinduism.

200 intellectuals were the participant of this ceremony; namely, Prof. Ravi Kant, Vice Chancellor KGMU, Mr. Justice Raghunath Kishore Rastogi and Ramesh ji, from Bharti Bhawan (RSS) Lucknow.

Many doctors of the city were felicitated with the respect prize for his outstanding duties and serving for the people in the medical field.

Prof in his speech said, “I’m very much overwhelmed, and have begun to think how to manage the provision of free medical facility here to these innocents. He preached to perform the duty is the performing of Dharma (serving religion).”

"I found Congress symbol in Shivji, Guru Nanak, Buddha, Mahavir's blessing hand up pictures"is religious comments: BJP

The BJP has alleged that Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi violated the model code of conduct by "co-relating the Congress election symbol with religious figures". The party has filed a complaint with the Chief Electoral Officer of Uttar Pradesh, where elections will take place next month from February 11 to March 8, against the Congress leader. The BJP has also sought the withdrawal of the Congress' election symbol 'hand' and also cancellation of its recognition as a national party.

"Rahul Gandhi, at a convention, named as 'Jan Vedna Sammelan' in Delhi on January 11, 2017, made religious comments by co-relating the symbol of Indian National Congress with religious gods such as Shivji ; Guru Nanak; Buddha; Mahavir; and Islam, violating the provisions of the Representation of the People Act, 1951, MCC and the guidelines issued by the Supreme Court," the BJP wrote in its complaint on Friday.

Mr Gandhi had said: "I found Congress symbol in Shivji, Guru Nanak, Buddha, Mahavir's blessing hand up pictures. I asked Karan Singhji what it meant. He said (it means) 'don't get afraid.'"

"It's a blatant violation of the model code of conduct and strict action should be taken against Rahul Gandhi and the Congress party for trying to influence voters not only in Uttar Pradesh but also in other poll-bound states, "said senior BJP leader Bhupendra Yadav.

Rejecting the allegation, Congress leader PL Punia said, "What Rahul (Gandhi) said was just a statement to highlight the high recall value and the emotional bond with the Congress symbol. What is so objectionable about that? "
"Under Para 16A and 18 of the Election Symbols Order, 1968, and the allotment of hand symbol of Congress party may kindly be withdrawn with immediate effect, along with cancellation of its recognition as a national party," the BJP letter read.

48-TEAMS WILL STEP IN COMPETITION FROM 2026 FIFA WORLD CUP: FIFA COUNCIL

The FIFA Council has unanimously decided in favour of expanding the FIFA World Cup™ to a 48-team competition as of the 2026 edition. World football’s supervisory and strategic body held its third meeting at the Home of FIFA in Zurich on 9 and 10 January, and decided on a new tournament format with the 48 national teams split into 16 groups of three. The top two teams from each group will then advance to a 32-team knockout stage.

The new 48-team competition format has been drawn up in such a way that there is no reduction in the overall number of rest days and a guaranteed maximum of seven matches for the teams reaching the final, while the current 32-day tournament duration is kept, so as not to increase the length of time for which clubs have to release their players.

The decision was taken following a thorough analysis, based on a report that included four different format options. The study took into account such factors as sporting balance, competition quality, impact on football development, infrastructure, projections on financial position and the consequences for event delivery. Over the course of its next meetings, the FIFA Council is set to discuss further details regarding the competition, including the slot allocation per confederation.

At its most recent meeting in October 2016, the FIFA Council had already discussed the scenarios to expand the competition format of the FIFA World Cup. By then, it had also defined a set of principles for countries to bid for the right to host the 2026 edition – a process that is currently scheduled to culminate in May 2020.

The first day of the FIFA Council meeting saw the members split into five working groups dedicated to specific themes: women’s football, technical development, competitions, commercial matters and legal and corporate structures.

On 10 January, as well as deciding on the expanded format, the Council agreed on a set of key dates related to the 2018 FIFA World Cup™ :

14 May 2018: Deadline for participating member associations to release a list of 30 players;

20 May 2018: Recommended final day of club competitions, with the exception of the UEFA Champions League final. Special exemptions may only be granted by the FIFA Council;

 21-27 May 2018: Official rest period to be respected by clubs and participating member associations;

28 May 2018: Start of the release period for all participating member associations;

4 June 2018: Submission of final list of 23 players.

The Council also approved the early adoption of the IFRS15 standard in FIFA’s financial reports.

Furthermore, as part of the ongoing consultation process, the composition of the new committees has been decided and will be communicated once the respective members have been informed.

The next meeting of the FIFA Council is scheduled to be held in Manama, Bahrain, on 9 May 2017 ahead of the 67^th FIFA Congress.

Bollywood Movie: Haraamkhor Review Rating

Sex with a minor is a punishable offence under Indian Penal Code. What about a movie highlighting the same in a surreal believe that it will be taken as a cinematic art depicting different shades of love, pyaar, infatuation... oh dear I pity this situation. 

Exploiting the rural exotica from the Hindi heartland (Bihar, UP gets a break and it's the state of Madhya Pradesh for a change) as served by Bhardwaj, Jha and Kashyap, wannabe hipster filmmaker Shlok Sharma (assistant director DEV D (2009) and GANGS OF WASSEYPUR (2012) and couple of short films previous) HARAAMKHOR starring Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Shweta Tripathi is a muddled, misguided and cringe worthy affair between a teenage student and her teacher.

This disturbing and unlikable piece of work is unworthy of being an art house material and undeserving of the polished acting talents of Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Shweta Tripathi who play the teacher and the student respectively.
An accidental late night stand between Krzysztof Kiecelowski's A SHORT FILM ABOUT LOVE and Giuseppe Tornatore's MALENA seem to be seed of HARAMKHOR's idea by writer-director Shlok Sharma, which on paper appears arrestingly intriguing about a lonely 15-year-old Sandhya (Shweta Tripathi) torn between the neglect by her alcoholic father and his secret affair with another woman, searching for compassion, love and care in the company of her mathematics teacher Shyam (Nawazuddin Siddiqui) who is married to Sunita (Trimala Adhikari - an uncanny Kalki Koechlin lookalike) and happy to take advantage of Sandhya. 

On the other hand, a skinny Kamal (Irfan Khan) - the lovable kid from CHILLAR PARTY plays Sandhya's junior schoolmate and an admirer who follows his best friend, Mintu's (Modh Samad) instructions blindly in order to fulfill his infatuation and dream of marrying Sandhya. The idea certainly had meat but the writer helmer failed to add anything beneath this tender surface of infatuation and lust in their seemingly desperate attempt to be raw, rustic, edgy and arty.
While the crush of young Kamal over Sandhya is acceptable and has some quirky moments, the reasons behind Sandhya getting attracted to Shyam is a complete hogwash and bigger make believe then any mainstream garbage. Yes, majority of us belonging to the current generation, the previous ones and the one who are in their teens have had their share of crush with their teachers and there are reasons behind the attraction - it can be looks, intelligence or good nature but here Shyam has nothing in him to charm anyone. What makes Sandhya fall over Shyam is an irritating mystery that further cringes when we come to know that Shyam's wife is his ex student and that's not all when Sandhya and Shyam come closer a printed warning on sex with minor flashes below the screen making it disturbing to the core.The character of Mintu speaks above his age coming with all dubious information about sex while Kamal seems to have no brains of his own. However, the kids Irfan Khan and Modh Samad do their jobs very well. The only character that makes some sense is of Neelu (Shreya Shah) girlfriend of Sandhya's father. Censor's tough stand adds salt to the wound. The editing appears jarred and scenes look disjointed. Nawaz is a gifted actor but here his ill defined character restricts the audience to have any connect. Shweta who initially charms her way into the audience suddenly finds herself left out with no mercy due to her characters unexplained choice. This proves that no matter how good as an actor you are if the character is not established and defined well then the audience's connect is minimum.After the insipid scripting, the lack of connection of Nawaz and Shweta with the audience becomes the movie's biggest drawback.

Further during the climax when we pray that this tepidly misguided attempt will reach to some conclusion, a dark, abrupt end makes the matter worse leaving the audience in confusion whether to scratch their brains or tear the screen in which they have just seen HARAMKHOR - ironically, the makers have managed to objectify the movie's title in the end. BRAVO. What an art!!
