AZAM'S SHUTTLING DIPLOMACY CONTINUES IN UP; BOTH SIDES ARE ADAMANT
Suchit Bajpai; Lucknow
Amid the
continuous family feud and efforts to compromise in Samajwadi party, the
infighting for the party’s symbol ‘bicycle’ has reached before election
commission.
Election
commission, having served the notice to the both sides of Samajwadi party, said
to submit the affidavit of supports.
Meanwhile the
chief minister, Akhilesh Yadav, held a meeting with the supporters ministers
and MLAs.
Akhilesh said
the supporters to go in fray and said he is going to see the matter of party
symbol.
The 206 MLAs
signed the support papers in the favour of Akhilesh.
Meanwhile,
Mulayam Singh reached Delhi and a meeting of supporter leaders is going on at
his residence Ashoka Road. Where many of MLAs are continuously also holding the
meetings in the wake of their future at some secret place in Lucknow to decide
what to do, according to the information. The equation of politics in Uttar Pradesh
looks changing rapidly.
Amar Singh
and Jaya Prada are also present at his residence. Mr Shivpal is also in the
meeting. The meeting is going on for the purpose of making the strategy of
giving the response by Mulayam side to the election commission on 9th January.
The legal advice is also being solicited.
The election
commission on Thursday has said the both sides to submit the support affidavits
of MLAs, Legislative Council Members and office bearers by 9 January.
It is noticeable that amid the growing rift, Mulayam Singh and
Akhilesh side had put their claims before the election commission. The
commission has said to submit their affidavits by January 9.
seeing the
compromise efforts failed in past days, Mulayam and Shivpal both left for Delhi
on Thursday morning.
The
pro-Mulayam leaders began to congregate there after his Delhi arrival. Mulayam
and Shivpal have refused to accept the conditions of Akhilesh.
Akhilesh held
a meeting with his supporters at his residence after the departure of Mulayam
and Shivpal to Delhi. Akhilesh’s supporters are reiterating continuously to
issue the candidates list immediately without waiting the compromise and
finalise the pact with the congress.
The shuttling
diplomacy by the senior minister of Akhilesh cabinet, Mr Azam Khan tried
between the both sides to convince them whole day; but the talks failed because of being adamant on
their demands by the both sides.
The biggest hurdle is the allocation of candidature ticket.
Akhilesh camp
want to sideline Shivpal; Mulayam's intimate are intending to oust Mr Ram Gopal
Yadav from the party because they feel, “ Akhilesh is being fomented.”
During this
period, Amar Singh has filed some papers in election commission and the
convention called by Akhilesh on January 1 has been dubbed illegal because it
had no permission of party president.
Akhilesh says
that he is going for mandate in UP and he will be back in power again. Akhilesh
said, “where has to tight the nut and bolt; and where, to use the hammer will
be done perfectly.”
Azam Khan
appealed both sides to maintain harmony, and to work together for the election.
After a long meeting at mulayam’s residence on Wednesday, Azam Khan returned to
his home without any amicable solution. The meeting was in the presence of
Shivpal, Narad Rai, Azam Khan, and Om Prakash. It is assumed that Azam Khan
will talk in a meeting with Akhilesh on
future prospects.
Actually
on many attempts it was assessed that although 'father- son' duo would have
been convinced, according to the
experts; but the fostering powers which have clutched both persons separately appear to prevent them doing so. Shivpal and
Amar Singh are Mulayam’s frailties; Akhilesh has a strong support of Ram Gopal.
