Ganga Express Way is to be approved in cabinet; road shall be between Meerut to Prayagraj: Satish Mahana, UP Industrial Minister


"The travelers shall be served excellently on Ganga Express Way which is going ro be built between Meerut to Prayagraj", Mr Satish Mahana, Minister for UP Industrial Development, told here after attending a review meeting for this dreamful project Tuesday.

It's an idea to boost the Industrial Development in the district of Uttar Pradesh where it will pass through. he adds that he he has directed the officers to speed up all the activities to build this expressway. he suggested to the officers to prepare the proposal of the project to be passed by the cabinet. The meeting of the officers and the minister also considered and discussed Expressway to be built on PPP model.

        The vehicles shall run on 120 KM/Hrs on six lanes road. He told that this Express Way shall be 594 kilometer long and be in 6 lanes that can be extended to 8 lanes in future.

The vehicle will be run on this pitch with the speed of 120 KM/Hrs; an air-base near Shahjahan Pur  beside of this path shall be built; a bridge of 900 meter long over Ganga river and 720 meter long bridge over Ramganga river have been proposed.

One toll plaza at Meerut, another at Prayagraj and 15 ramp toll plaza have to be built. 9 public help center campus are to be built beside the expressway.

The project's estimated fund expenditure is Rs 36410 crore; the land acquisition shall have expenditure of Rs 9255 crore. the minister told that by selling compositely the toll tax on Agra-Lucknow expressway shall earn Rs 4500 crore by monetization.
